Project Overview

M+W U.S., Inc. is designing and building the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing complex in the world for GLOBALFOUNDRIES. The Fab 8, Module 1 facility is located at the Luther Forest Technology Campus in the Towns of Malta and Stillwater, Saratoga County, New York. GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8, Module 1 is the first of three potential Semiconductor Manufacturing facilities proposed for the Luther Forest Technology Campus (“LFTC”). Fab 8, Module 1 consists of four major buildings including the wafer fabrication building (“Fab”), the Central Utility Building (“CUB”), the Spine or Fab technical support building, and the Administration Building. Additionally, there will be an Electric Substation Building and a Hazardous Production Materials warehouse, as well as other miscellaneous structures and utility yards. GLOBALFOUNDRIES is striving to achieve LEED Gold Certification for the Administration Building and for the Fab.

The realization of this project will be the crowning achievement in the continued development of New York's Tech Valley as a pre-eminent location for technological breakthroughs not only in the field of semiconductors but in nanotechnology, bio-technology, pharmaceuticals and alternative energy as well.

M+W U.S., Inc. is proud to be a leader in this effort and shares this website in order to provide information and the excitement of constructing this most important project with the local and world-wide communities.
